Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Sarai (a Thingsty product) collects when you use the app or portal, how we use it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Account: your phone number (for sign-in) and profile details you provide.
- Vehicle: the car details you enter — make/model, battery, range, connectors and a photo, if you add one.
- Charging & wallet: your charging sessions, wallet balance, top-ups and transactions.
- Location: only while you use location features — your device location to show nearby chargers and guide your journey.
- Diagnostics: basic, non-identifying usage and error information to keep the app working.
How we use it
To sign you in, match compatible chargers to your car, plan trips, process wallet top-ups and charging payments, show your history and receipts, and provide support.
Location
Location is used to find and route to chargers and to guide you during a journey. It is not shared with other drivers. You can turn location off in your device settings; some features then won’t work.
Sharing
We share only what is needed to deliver a charge and a payment — for example, the relevant charger operator and the payment gateway that processes your top-up. We do not sell your personal data.
Payments
Wallet top-ups are processed by third-party payment providers. Card and bank details are handled by those providers, not stored by Sarai; we keep only the record of your transaction and balance.
Retention
We keep your account and transaction records for as long as your account is active and as required for billing, tax and legal purposes. You can request deletion of your account via Support; some records may be retained where the law requires.
Your choices
- Edit or remove your vehicles at any time in the app.
- Control location access from your device settings.
- Request account deletion or a copy of your data via Support.
