Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Sarai, an EV charging platform operated by Thingsty (“Sarai”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the app or portal, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. Using Sarai
Sarai helps you find EV chargers, plan trips, start charging sessions, and pay from an in-app wallet, and provides operators a portal to run a charging network. You must provide accurate account details, keep your login secure, and use the service lawfully. You are responsible for activity on your account.
2. Accounts
Drivers sign in with a phone number and a one-time code. You must be legally able to enter a contract and, where charging a vehicle, be authorised to do so. Operator and site-owner accounts are granted role-based access appropriate to their part of the network.
3. Charging and payment
- Charging is prepaid from your wallet. The price is shown before you start and is set by the charger owner or the platform, and may include time-of-use rates and any discount you qualify for.
- Energy delivered is measured by the charger; the amount charged reflects that reading.
- Community and open-data chargers are navigation listings only — Sarai does not operate them, guarantee them, or process payment for them.
4. Wallet and refunds
Top-ups add prepaid balance held for your future charging. If a session is billed incorrectly, report it from the transaction in your wallet and our team will review it. Refunds, where due, are returned to your wallet.
5. Availability & accuracy
We aim for a reliable service but cannot guarantee that any charger is available, working, or accurately listed at a given moment, or that the app is uninterrupted. Always confirm at the site. Charger status, prices and range estimates are provided in good faith and may change.
6. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the service, attempt to access it in unauthorised ways, tamper with chargers, or submit false community listings or reports. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service.
7. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Sarai is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for issues arising from a charger, vehicle, or third party outside our control. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
8. Changes
We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new “last updated” date; continued use means you accept the current terms.
